Real transformation requires new experiences. You need to get out of your mind and into your body. Talking alone will not lead to transformation.

Somatic therapy works directly with the body and its sensations, offering a more effective and holistic approach to healing. It helps release stored trauma, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect your body and mind.

In this 90-minute experiential workshop, you'll learn how creativity can support your well-being. You'll be guided through therapeutic art activities focusing on self-expression, relaxation, and reflection. We'll also practice mindfulness, and there'll be an opportunity to connect to the community during some group sharing (optional).

About Julia

 

Julia Neubauer is an Arts and Somatic Therapist based in Melbourne, Australia. Her work is inspired by her own lived experience of moving through grief and trauma. Her training includes more than 4200+ hours of specialised training in creative arts and somatic therapies. She is a student of Hakomi Therapy and a member of Holistic Therapists Australia.

She makes pottery, enjoys meditation, yin yoga and the ocean.
